The District of Columbia Government will deactivate the Hypothermia Alert at 9AM for Wednesday, March 13, 2019. According to National Weather Service (NWS), the current temperature is 34 degrees with a wind chill of 29. Tonight’s forecast is mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. South wind 6 to 8 mph.

The District issues the Hypothermia Alert when the actual or forecasted temperature, including wind chill, is or will be 32°F or below or when the overnight temperature is forecasted to be 40°F or below and a chance of precipitation is 50% or greater. To request shelter transport for DC residents who are experiencing homelessness and on the street, please call 311 or the shelter hotline at (202) 399-7093.
